March post-mortem
This month's jam was a bit... of a dud, at least in my mind. I had Real Life™ blindside me at the beginning of the month, which forced me to take at least a week off to address it. Couple that with a planned vacation at the tail end of the development window, and it left me very little time to actually work on implementing features. I did refactor all the classes I needed to implement the save functionality required by the jam. With this month focusing on automation (a shoe-in for an auto-battler) and saving, something that I was intentionally delaying on, since I haven't implemented everything I wanted both the suits and pilots to have quite yet. But implement saving I did. And as one of my fellow developers pointed out, I should have had structured my classes like that in the first place. So, in the end, this month was frustrating, but fruitful, at least for covering the requirements. I still wanted to implement more pilot and world-centric features this month, but at least it is ready for the next month. When the new foci come out, I'll be chomping at the bit to get back to work on Mecha Patrol.
